Steampunk Chic...

The last couple of days I've felt so inspired. I'm not sure why, but I feel like there is change in the air.   

I'm loving steampunk these days. Old watch parts, clock parts, etc. But I wanted this piece to be a little more upscale with crystals and sterling silver... therefore the name Steampunk Chic.

This next piece includes some vintage brass and a vintage brass chandelier link...

This last piece is fun because it has a little of everything...and looks great layered with chains!

Twilight....

Ok I'm not that great of a photographer.  Someone with more skill could have captured this amazing sunset better than me, but I had to try!  These photos were taken right on my front porch tonite.  No Photoshop either (another one of those things I'm not that great at.)

  

Summer state of mind....

Hope everyone is having a great summer!  We have been busy with our families camping, boating, and sometimes just being lazy!  Gotta love it. 

We have been working here and there on a special project for a client named Lorena.  She had the fantastic idea of engraving a locket with an initial for each one of her daughters.  We loved the idea, so vintage!  So we designed a necklace, bracelet, and earrings to go with this look.  We hunted for just the right locket, and charms to go with it.  It was important to Lorena for each piece to have meaning.  Here are the results.... Leave a comment and let us know what you think! 

Necklace includes, vintage chandelier crystal, monogrammed locket, brass key, angel, and pearl.

Bracelet:

Bracelet includes a large Swarovski crystal, various pearls, crystals, monogrammed locket, brass chain and toggle clasp.

Earrings:

Earrings include, vintage chandelier octagon crystal, swarovski crystal, and a swarovski elements pearl.

Girl's Camp Up-cycled Leather Cuff Project

Girl's camp is here again...  It's so much fun, but so much work.  I'm in charge of crafts again and I thought this one turned out so cool I wanted to post about it.  The last couple of  weeks I've been collecting cool leather belts from thrift stores, DI, etc. so we could make these inexpensive leather cuffs.  We used washers from the hardware store and stamped them with the word courage to go along with our theme for the year.   "Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." Joshua 1:9.  Then used inexpensive ribbon crimps for the ends (these were not expensive but it was hard to find wide ones.  I bought mine from http://www.twilightsfancy.artfire.com/, Rina was great and shipped them fast.)  I attached toggle clasps with jumprings, added a few charms, and tada!

a life MAJESTIC.....

 I'm so blessed to wake up everyday with new ideas... now if I could just find the time to create them :).  I'm loving vintage chandelier prisms, old keys, and misc. vintage jewelry findings. And of course filigree, filigree, & more filigree!  Here are a few of the lastest:
